What is Southern University Give Day?
Southern University Give Day is 24 hours when we all come together to show our Jaguar pride by giving to the areas of Southern University that mean the most to us.
Gifts of all sizes will add up to have a big impact for students, faculty and our entire community.
Who can participate in Southern University Give Day?
Anyone! We encourage all alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff and friends to participate by making a gift through the Southern University Give Day online portal via credit, debit card or mailing in checks or cash.
Why should I give to Southern University?
As our world continues to face great challenges like the global pandemic, your support of the Southern University System students and faculty means more than ever.

Can I give to any campus or department of the Southern University System Foundation?
Yes. From your school to athletics or your favorite student group, you can make your gift to the area of the Southern University System that is most meaningful to you.
What if I have already made a gift to Southern University this fiscal year?
Thank you for your support! You are already making a difference. A participation gift will enable Southern University to do even more and help us reach our Give Day goals. We hope you will be part of this exciting day.
Is there a minimum gift amount
The minimum gift amount is $2. Our goal for the day is based on participation, and gifts of all sizes are greatly appreciated. When our entire Jaguar Nation comes together to support Southern University, we are able to transform lives and pave a bright future for our students and those to follow in their footsteps.

Yes! Simply visit #SUGiveDay on your mobile device on or before August 31st.
Are Southern University Give Day contributions tax-deductible?
Yes, your gift is tax-deductible. You will receive an email confirmation of your gift, as well as a gift receipt in the mail. If you have questions about the tax deductibility of your gift, please consult with your tax professional.
What is JustGiving?
JustGiving is the secure giving platform that the Southern University System Foundation is using to facilitate raising money, engaging donors and managing volunteers onSouthern University Give Day. Donations will be received and receipted by JustGiving.
Who will receive my contact information?
Only Southern University will have access to your name and contact information. This information is used solely to send thank you messages, provide the option to receive future notifications, and to notify you of future activities.
